Martha Ann Nolan (Hall, Sinclair) passed away peacefully in her sleep February 1, 2024. Martha was born in Bay Shore, LI, on July 26, 1954. She grew up in Gilbertsville NY, graduating from GCS in 1972. Martha attended Utica College and Hartwick College. She was a nurse and an avid writer.
Martha is predeceased by her son Thomas Hall, parents Thomas and Violet (Mahnken) Nolan, brother Kenneth Nolan, and sisters Maureen Brown and Mary West. Martha is survived by her children, Kerry Hall (Adam), Jack Sinclair (Alex), brother Thomas Nolan (Carol), sister-in-law Barbara Nolan, grandchildren Jade, JT, Cyrus, and Etta, many special nieces, nephews & cousins, good friend Joanne Gile, her goodest boy Mac, and her furry girls Janet & Chia.
Two things that Martha really loved were books (reading and writing them), and dogs. The family asks if you wish to honor Martha's memory to please make a donation to either The Gilbertsville Free Library, PO Box 332, Gilbertsville NY 13776 (gilbertsvillefreelibrary.org), or Suruluna Animal Rescue, 210 Murphy Rd, Morris NY 13808 (suruluna.org).
A very special thank you to her niece Maureen, sister-in-law Barbara and friend Joanne for all their time and energy helping care for and visiting Martha, it is truly appreciated.
Memorial service will be held on June 15th,2024 at Copes Corners Park, 620 NY-51 Gilbertsville, NY 13776.
