Obituary: Martin K. Leppo (1931 – 2024)
Martin K. Leppo, of Stoughton formerly of Randolph, passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 92. He was born November 21, 1931, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of the late Mollie (Krasnoff) Leppo and Jacob Leppo, His legacy is one of profound professional accomplishments, unwavering love for his family, and steadfast service to his country.
Raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, Martin graduated from Brookline High School in 1950. He furthered his education at Northeastern University before proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his return, he pursued his passion for law, graduating from Portia Law School, now known as New England Law. Martin was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1959.
For nearly seven decades, Martin distinguished himself as one of Boston's most respected attorneys, earning the admiration of colleagues, adversaries, and clients alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Martin cherished his role as a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marcia D (Bower) Leppo, his sons Carl Leppo and his wife Marianne, and Eric (Ricky) Leppo. His grandchildren Olivia, Jacob, Talia, Sarah, Matthew, Alexia, Chloe and Gianna brought him immense joy and pride. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Andrew Leppo and his grandson Vincent Leppo. His sister Charlotte (Leppo) Needle and his loving nephew Stephen Needle.
Martin will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to justice, his love for his family, and his dedication to serving others. His passing leaves a void in the legal community and in the hearts of all who knew him.
Services will be held at Temple Sinai, 25 Canton Street, Sharon, MA, on June 17 at 11 AM. Memorial observance will also be held at Temple Sinai on Monday from 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Andrew Leppo Scholarship fund WEH Camp, 294 Road Between the Ponds Parsonsfield, Maine 04047 in honor of Martin Leppo's legacy of compassion and service.
