It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martin F. Villegas, who left us on November 27, 2024, at the age of 64. Martin was a cherished father, brother, and uncle, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
Born and raised in Nogales, Arizona. Martin lived a life marked by dedication, love, and resilience. Martin attend and graduated from the University of Arizona. After graduation Martin traveled the world his favorite city/country being Paris, France. Martin then went on to work for Pima county for 30 years and finished his last 10 years with the State of Arizona Office of Inspector General. During his career Martin's coworkers became life long friends who he loved and cherished.
Outside of his work, Martin found joy in spending time with family, watching sports and cheering on his favorite football team (Raiders) His family and friends will always remember his unwavering kindness, jokes, and the way he could light up a room with his smile and laugh.
Martin is survived by children Martinyka (Gerard) Armand (Alyssa) brothers Luis (Linda) Guillermo (Lorenia) grandchildren Nolan, Peyton, Avie, Thiago and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by mother Guadalupe father Luis Manuel brother Manuel.
A service to celebrate Martin's life will be held at a later date.
Martin's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of love and kindness will never be forgotten.
