Mary Lynn Boesch

Mary Lynn Boesch, age 71, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. She was born on June 8, 1954, in McComb, Mississippi. She is survived by her only child, Carly Boesch (Cody); her grandsons, Ashton Rush (age 4) and Tristan Rush (age 5 mos); and her husband of almost 30 years, Lawrence Boesch III. She is also survived by her 3 siblings, 5 nieces and nephews, and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Bratton and Mary Louise Brister Bratton. She grew up in Covington, Louisiana, and she attended Mandeville High School. She was a proud "Skipper" participating in both cheerleading and volleyball. She later attended LSU where she became a member of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. She made many lifelong friends and memories at both. She would tell you though that her greatest passion throughout all of her years, other than being a mother, was being a swimmer. She started as a young child at her neighborhood pool in Covington Country Club, where she later grew to swim competitively on their swim team. She was a wonderful swimmer, so much so that she went on to become a lifeguard and then coach the very same team she competed on. We are saddened she never got the chance to coach her sweet grandbabies in the pool she loved so much, but we are comforted knowing she will be looking down on them with all the love and care she would have here on earth. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ms. Boesch may be made to Dementia Society of America and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
