Janie was born in Piqua, Ohio to Frank & Clara Marshall. She attended school at the University of Dayton, then went on to teach 3rd grade in the Catholic school system. During college Janie met Terrance Maloney, and they were married in 1958, after college Janie's Family was her primary focus, she also enjoyed golf, tennis, traveling around the world, and spending time with Nuel, her dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Clara Marshall; and her husband of 23 years, Terrance Maloney, who passed away July 25, 2002.
Janie is survived by her children T.J. Maloney, Julie Maloney, Patrick Maloney, and Nancy Maloney Byington; grandchildren Autumn, Mea, Terrence, and Paula; great-grandchildren Dominic, Sean, Elizabeth, Emery, Aubrie, Ana, and Jayla.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday July 11, 2025, at Forest Hill Cemetery 8660 N. St. Rt. 66, Piqua, Ohio with Baol Duong officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.
