Mary Kay Mason, of Oxford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 10, 1946, in Middlesex, England, Mary was the daughter of the late Edmund Cullen and Florence Ward. She was a proud graduate of West Orange High School.

Mary worked for many years as a manager at McDonald’s in Hackettstown, New Jersey, where she was known for her strong work ethic and caring nature. Following her retirement, she continued to make a difference in her community as a bus aide for Snyder Bus Company. Mary was also a dedicated member of the Washington Borough Emergency Squad Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Known affectionately by her family as a prankster, Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and a zest for life. She loved spending time at the casino, sharing laughs with her loved ones, and making the occasional baking attempt—always with a smile and a story to tell.

Mary is survived by her loving children: Thomas E. Mason and his fiancée, Jamie Ackerman; Robert Mason and his wife, Lauretta; Deborah Little and her husband, Raymond; Michele Mason; and Danielle Hoffman and her husband, Gregory. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Amy. Mary leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Maureen, Linda, Charles, and Kathy.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Mason Jr., who passed away in 2022, as well as her siblings, Jimmy, Alice, and Butchie.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Mary’s daughter Danielle's house at 205 Arbor Drive, Stewartsville, New Jersey, 08886. A memorial service celebrating Mary’s life will start at 2 p.m. Inurnment of cremains at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery will be held at a later date.
