Mary C. Tynell

Mary Tynell, 61, a devoted mother, loving wife, cherished friend, and passionate realtor, passed away on January 30, 2025. Her warmth, kindness, and radiant spirit touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love, friendship, and generosity.
Born to Randy and Sue Childs, Mary was delivered at Cape Cod hospital and grew up in Centerville, where she built lifelong friendships and fond memories. She was proud to declare herself as a true Cape Codder. Fate led her to Scott Tynell, a spirited rival from Falmouth, who would later become the love of her life. Together, they built a beautiful life in North Falmouth, where they raised their two beloved sons, Christopher and Alexander.
Mary's love for family and community shone through in all she did. After raising her children, she found her true calling in real estate, helping countless families find their perfect homes on Cape Cod. More than just a career, it was her passion-one that turned clients into lifelong friends. Her genuine kindness, infectious laughter, and unwavering support made a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Mary found serenity on the shores of the ocean, catching not fishing (because she always caught something), volunteering at the Habitat ReStore & Falmouth Real Estate Agent Scholarship, photography, chatting with friends, snuggling with her dogs, and watching a "new" but predictable love story.
A wake will be held Friday, February 7th, from 10AM-1PM at West Falmouth Chapman Funerals and Cremations, located at 584 W. Falmouth Highway (Route 28A), West Falmouth, MA 02540.
A private burial will be held with family following the services.
In honor of Mary's deep love for family, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a cancer or an Alzheimer's charity of your choosing.
Mary's love, laughter, and compassionate spirit will be profoundly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
