Matthew Aaron Childress

Matthew Aaron Childress, age 49, of Noblesville Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
He was born on September 8, 1974 in Beech Grove, Indiana, to his father, Mark Childress and his mother, Melody (Miller) Bedwell.
Matthew graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1994 and after that started work as a machinist at JP Corporation for 10 years. Leaving there, he started working at SMC in Noblesville as a machinist for 10 years as well. He loved to use his free time to listen to music, be with his family going to concerts and on adventures, hunting Bigfoot and being an undercover rockstar. Matthew loved spending time at Southeastway Park with his family and friends growing up, but mostly enjoyed walking his beloved dog, Bufford, He also loved to meditate and advance himself spiritually.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Melody (Miller) Bedwell; a daughter, Abigail Day; two sisters, Nancy Childress (husband: Matthew) Stilger, and Mary Childress; a brother, Joshua (wife: Marcy Breckenridge) Childress; a niece, Emori Stilger and a nephew, Gabriel Stilger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Childress.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 starting at 11:00 am throughout the day until 5:00 pm at Camp Sertoma, 2316 S German Church Road, Indianapolis, IN 46239 with food and drinks provided. Celebration of life service will begin at 12 noon. Please come wearing your favorite concert t-shirt and share a memory of Matthew.
