Matthew Allen Masemer

Matthew Allen Masemer, 53, of Hanover, passed away July 26, 2025, at 10:45 am. Born October 18, 1971, in Hanover, PA, he was a son of Shirley Mae (Weaver) Masemer and the late Russell Roosevelt Masemer.

Matthew graduated from Lincoln Intermediate and Spring Grove Area High School and he volunteered locally at Jerry & Sal's Pizza. An avid bowler and active swimmer, Matthew could often be found at the local gym, staying healthy and working out. He also enjoyed playing miniature golf and had a deep love for dancing-bringing joy and lighthearted energy wherever he went. He had a gentle temperament that endeared him to all who met him.

Matthew was a member of the Pigeon Hills Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Above all, Matthew was loved deeply by everyone who knew him-for his joyful personality, his kindness, and the happiness he brought into the lives of others.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind his sisters, LuAnn Shutt, Jodie Quibell, Cynthia Stoner, Melinda Rollins, and Melissa Topper; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial talk will be delivered by a local congregation elder Saturday, August 9, 2025, 1:30PM, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1620 Youngs Rd, Hanover, PA 17331.
