Maureen (Sullivan) Bouey, 64, passed away peacefully on October 2nd 2024 in her sunroom in Crestview, Florida. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 24th 1960 to Kathleen Nee and Eugeen Sullivan.
While Maureen's family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. Maureen's wish was to have her ashes spread by her children and husband at the Lanikai Pillbox in Hawaii, a place as beautiful as her and somewhere that she loved dearly.
Maureen was married in 1998 to the love of her life Michael "Mike" Bouey. She was a loving mother to four children, Cathleen "Cathy" Lazzaro, Eileen (Lazzaro) Smith, Anthony "Tony" Lazzaro, and Adrienne "Aey" Lazzaro.
Maureen spent her life in Ohio and Florida, collecting many friends and laughs along the way. She loved traveling with Mike, country music – specifically George Strait, the beach Ireland, Bravo, and most importantly, Cleveland sports. She will be remembered for the way she spoke her mind (REALLY), made others laugh, loved hard, and gave life her all. No matter who, where, the time, the place, Maureen was always just a phone call away – if she hadn't already called you first. A loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend, Maureen was truly one-of-a-kind.
Maureen is preceded in death by her brother, Brian Sullivan. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Bouey; her mother, Kay Sullivan; her brother, James "Jimmy" Sullivan; her children, Cathy Lazzaro, Eileen and Adam Smith, Tony and Lauren Lazzaro, Adrienne Lazzaro; and her grandchildren, Megan and Eric Reynolds, Aidan and Owen Smith, and Anthony and Zane Lazzaro.
In lieu of flowers please hug those you love a little tighter today, play your favorite George Strait song, and keep Maureen close to your heart.

I am from the old neighborhood - west of Rocky River Dr and Puritas Ave.. In school I was in the same grade as Brian. But surprise. 15 years later I reconnected with Maureen when we worked together for the county. What a wonderful person, and truly young at heart. Even more, my son Ian, got to know her son Tony when they were being recruited at the same time and station in North Olmsted. As a parent and fellow productive hard worker, Maureen offered me comfort when the job or the world or who or what ever madness was giving me grief. I will always remember her. My best to all her family. She loved you all. Ed Mc Hugh ( St. Pat's W.P. - class of 1972 )
