Maureen Mae Fuoss, 86, of Buckley passed away at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E. Lincoln, Buckley with Rev. Dale Fjordbotten officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Buckley.

Visitation will be two hours before the funeral service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Maureen was born May 2, 1939 in Buckley the daughter of Cecil and Hilda Ronna Knuth. She married Levoy F. Fuoss December 18, 1954 in Buckley. He preceded her in death December 30, 2009.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Miller Long of Rantoul, Janice Hunt of Rantoul, Darlene (Bob) Zeck of Melvin; a son, Kenny (Nicole) Fuoss of Buckley; six grandchildren, Marie Spencer, Andrea Lighthill, Amanda Hunt, Erica Miller (Derrick), Cecil Zeck, R. David Hunt; seven great grandchildren, three great-great grandsons, and two brothers, Ronald Knuth of Hoopeston and Gerald Knuth of Buckley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Dennis Knuth, sister Evelyn Martin and a great grandson, Maurice Bradley.

Maureen provided childcare in her home for many years. In her later years, she provided companionship for the elderly. Maureen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.

She enjoyed playing cards, needlepoint, embroidery, plastic canvas and vegetable gardening. Maureen loved baking and to go on walks. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
