This is the day the Lord hath made and we will rejoice and be glad in it.
May 24th, 1972, Father graced and blessed Samuel and Jaunita with a perfect gift, Mercia Patrice Millsap.
Mercia brought much joy, laughter, and a bubbly personality to our family.
Mercia attended Magic Years of Learning, Presbyterian School, Lakeview Academy in Gainesville GA, and the Howard School in Atlanta GA. She graduated from Southwest Dekalb Highschool. After completing high school, she attended Fisk University, Emory University, Lanier Tech, and the Georgia Institute of Cosmetology where she received a Master Cosmetology and Instructor's License. She continued her education at Penn State and ORU and received her B.S. in Biology.
Mercia was the granddaughter of the late John W. Jr. and Emily Morrow. Her grandfather called her his little talker and took her with him to many meetings. Her paternal grandparents were Herbert and Mildred Millsap. She loved them dearly.
Mercia was baptized at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and gave her life to Christ at an early age. She worked as a lab scientist at Windsor Pediatrics in Gainesville, Ga.
Mercia is survived by her Mother, Jaunita Morrow Millsap (Gainesville, GA); sister Natasha Nicely Lipcomb, uncle, Larry W. Morrow (Ga); aunts, Ruby Wilborn, Beverly Jo Millsap, and Malbree Millsap Davenport (Gainesville, Ga); a host of Cousins and Friends and a Loving Great Aunt, Bernice Morrow Austin.
In lieu of flowers my prayer is for all to get to know the Holy Ghost, have a relationship with Him so He can reveal "Truth" to All. It's getting darker and darker out there.
Psalm 119:105 - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet And a light unto my path.
