Merle S. Fox, Jr., 76, of Pinellas Park, FL passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 in his home. Born October 6, 1948 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Merle S. Fox, Sr. and Mary E. (Texter) Fox.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1966. Merle was employed as a mason for Ralph E. Tolbert Masonry for a number of years before moving to Florida to continue his trade at various places in the Tampa Bay area. In his younger years he enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, and playing tennis. Later in life he enjoyed hunting and found great joy in spending time in nature taking in the sights and sounds.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Bradford; his son, Randy Fox; grandson, Kosch Bradford; and sister, Carolyn Willis and her husband Thomas; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda J. “Penny” (Wilson) Fox who passed away October 26, 2015.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 6, 2025 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Thomas Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening as well as one hour prior to the service Thursday morning in the funeral home.
