Michael John Franklin, 20, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2024.  Michael was a 2022 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and loved participating in the Cuyahoga Falls marching band, concert band, symphonic band and jazz band. He was an excellent student and took many college courses during high school.  He completed two years at The Ohio State University studying Architecture.  While Michael often remained quiet, on occasion, he would share his sly sense of humor, much to the joy of his family.

He leaves behind numerous good friends, including Jacob Capaldi, Spencer Edwards, Will McCumbers, and Uriah Tedrick. Michael made many wonderful memories with his friends, with the Hanselman family, and in his Cub Scout and band activities.

Michael now joins his maternal grandmother, Linda (Don) Thompson; paternal grandparents, John and Susan Franklin; and many other cherished family members.

He will be dearly missed by his loving parents, John and Michele Franklin; brother, Nick Franklin; grandparents, Jim and Jean Durandetta; uncle, Matt Durandetta; great aunts, Rosemary (Jim) Kolton and Harriet Bowers, and numerous extended family members and friends.

Cremation will take place and guests are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 4-7 pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Michael's name to the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers Marching Band, 2300 4th St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 or by visiting www.CFBands.com.
