Michael Gavin Obituary

Being a dad to his beautiful daughters was the greatest joy of his life. He was so proud of their accomplishments in sports and in school and of the kind, amazing, and accomplished young women they have become. He always told them that "Gavins never quit" and passed along his strong work ethic, kind nature, and joyous outlook on the world.
Michael was larger than life and loved by many. He was raised on the Northside and was a graduate of North Catholic High School and Duquesne University. Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years in Anchorage, Alaska and was a long-time loyal employee of EQT.
Michael was an avid golfer and never missed an opportunity to be on the golf course at Shannopin Country Club.
Family will welcome friends on Monday 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2230 Rochester Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Sending my heartfelt prayers and condolences to Gav's family. I knew Mike a very short time, but he was the one that reached out to me about an opportunity at Sheffler and Company a little over a year ago and I'm so glad he did! God bless.
