Michael Jumper Obituary
Michael was a dedicated family man, friend, and active member of the community. Many will remember "Coach Mike" for his volunteer roles as head and assistant coach of several youth sports programs. Most are familiar with him coaching youth basketball, youth wrestling, and Pee-Wee football to name a few. If Mike was not coaching, he was often watching sports or taking his children and their friends to sporting events in and around the local area. A true sports enthusiast at heart.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Robert and Marva Jumper of Huber Heights, Ohio; two daughters, Brianna Jumper of Edinburg, Texas, and Keyna Jumper of Dayton, Ohio; one son, Keyan Jumper of Kettering, Ohio; one brother, Timothy (Rahel) Jumper of Lynnwood, Washington; grandmother, Elizabeth Jumper of Eden, North Carolina; six grandchildren: grandsons, Anthony Steele III, Auden Steele, Adonis Steele, and Aries Steele; and granddaughters, Avielle Steele, and Keylani Thompson. He also leaves his ex-wife and good friend, Lovica Ware; uncles, Stephen (Barbara) Jumper, Eddie (Cynthia) Golden, and Samuel (Vickie) Scales; aunt, Susan (William) Galloway; nephews, Ahmad Jumper, Amir Jumper, and Corey Tyler; nieces, Adia Jumper, Lovie Robinson, and Jacklyn Robinson; and a host of cousins, friends, other loved ones and acquaintances.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Robert Jumper, Sr. and maternal grandparents Lonnie and Virginia Golden.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial service at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Church of God MPGT, 1179 Rosedale Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45506.

Mike Jumper became my hero when I was 19 years old and just needed someone to listen. If you knew Mike then you know he didn´t just listen- he heard me, he saw me, he understood and he talked anytime I needed. Jump saw things in me, as he did with everyone, that I didn´t yet see in myself. He wrote me a letter when I moved to Boston ten years ago and I´ve read it every day for the past few days. To his family I can only say that I am so deeply sorry and my heart is broken into pieces for you. Please feel all of this love and know that we are here for you, just like he taught us to be.

Michael was/is what you picture when you think of the word "AMAZING "! I am going to miss everything about him! Michael has been part of my family for many years and will always hold a permanent place! This has been an incredible loss to sooooo many! Always in my you will live!
