Michael Todd "Mike" Michaletz, 65, Kingston, OK, passed away August 25, 2024, at his home in Kingston.
He was born January 9, 1959, in Milwaukee to the late Edward and Geneva (Peterson) Michaletz. Mike was actually raised by his aunt and uncle, Linda and Frank. Mike graduated from Algoma High School in 1977. He entered the United States Army and served from September 21, 1982, until May 1, 1985. After he was honorably discharged, he worked for the Army Corp of Engineering, in Kewaunee for many years. After he retired from the Corp., he worked some construction for Tom Keller on and off.
Mike was an avid motorcycle rider, pool shooter including many tournaments, which he basically won them all. Mike loved to wheel and deal with people for anything they were selling. He was a great wrencher on motorcycles and cars, liked to fish, and most of all he was so proud of his daughter Brooklynn who is now over 500 days sober. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and close friends.
Mike is survived by his two daughters, Brooklynn Michaletz and Elizabeth Michaletz; his granddaughter Delilah; siblings Charlotte, Gwen "Bunny" (Jim), Greg and Rodney; two sisters-in-law Carolyn and Virginia; many nieces, nephews and cousins and his best buddy Butch Acklam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers Wayne and Dean.
There will be a memorial service for Mike at a later date at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma.
