Michael Anthony Ornelas Sr, 60, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on March 13th, 2024. Michael joins previously departed, Cathy Jo Ornelas (Wife), Cecilia Ornelas (Mother), Lawrence Ornelas (Father), Edward Sandoval (Father-In-Law) and many other family and friends.
He is survived by Sons: Michael (Katie) Ornelas and Steven Ornelas, Grandson: Michael Ornelas III; Brothers: Fred (MaryAnn) Ornelas and Robert (Kim) Ornelas, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Michael was born May 9th, 1963, In Pueblo, Colorado, to Lawrence and Cecilia Ornelas. Michael grew up in Pueblo, where he attended Pueblo County High School. He was a skilled carpenter, mechanic, and roofer; he was the definition of a Handy-Man, and everyone's first call when something broke. He never met a stranger and had the most outgoing personality. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his many project cars.
Michael met and married the love of his life, Cathy, and the two of them became parents to two wonderful boys. After losing his wife, he dedicated his entire life to his boys, he loved them with everything he had. He couldn't be prouder of the men he raised. Apart from being a father, nothing made Michael happier than the day he became a grandpa; his grandson was his pride and joy.
