Michael Henry Weber, 78, of Manistique, MI, passed away on January 16, 2024. He was born May 7, 1945, to Henry and Evelyn Weber and grew up with two brothers and three sisters.
Michael was a special person. He had a happy joyful heart and always had a smile on his face. He attended school at Hiawatha Behavioral Health and participated in the Special Olympics.
Michael was a child at heart and loved to laugh. He was a gentle soul. Michael enjoyed going for car rides and he especially loved trains, big trains! His father would take him to the train tracks to watch them go by. He was fascinated by their size, sounds, and vibrations. Michael also loved police cars, badges, and talking to law enforcement officers. A favorite past-time was tagging along with his mom to rummage sales. He loved to visit and socialize. Holidays, especially Christmas spent with family, were among his favorite things along with playing games, putting puzzles together, watching John Wayne westerns, eating popcorn, and going to a parade!
Michael was known by many; he had a great memory and never forgot your name.
Michael is survived by his siblings, Henry (Mary) Weber of Thompson, MI; Ann Weber of Leeland, MI, Mary (Rick) Hughson of Thompson, MI, and Nancy (Russell) Johnson of Gaylord, MI. Also surviving Michael are nieces and nephews, Alan Weber, Katie Thomas, Molly Campbell, Travis Hughson, Sarah Leist, Steven Hughson, Lyle Johnson, Casey Johnson, numerous great nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Roberta Weber.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Evelyn Weber, and brother, Patrick J. Weber.
Memorial donations in Michael's name may be sent to the family for future designation.
A special thank you to Darcy Weber and the Hidden Estates staff, UPCAP, HBH, for their love, care, and support over the years.
Visitation for Michael will take place on his birthday, May 7th at Fausett Family Funeral Homes, Manistique from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Father Ben presiding.
