Michele Murray Janeliunas, 59, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 cancer.
Born on February 21, 1966, in Arlington, MA, Michele was the beloved daughter of the late Robert W. Murray and Linda (Gordon) Murray. She grew up in Billerica, MA, and graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 1984.
Michele spent many years working in the insurance industry before most recently finding joy in her role in customer service. Known for her warmth and strong work ethic, she made lasting connections with colleagues and customers alike.
Michele had a passion for crafts, cooking, country music, and attending concerts. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved the outdoors—fishing, camping, and especially spending cherished time at Moose Pond in Bridgton, Maine, surrounded by the people she loved most. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and sharing life with her devoted husband, James Janeliunas.
Michele was predeceased by her father Robert W. Murray, grandmothers Florence Murray and Alice Gordon, Aunt Lillian McGinness, and Uncle Ralph Murray.
She is survived by her loving husband James Janeliunas; her three children: Joseph Decowski of Billerica, Kenneth Decowski and his wife Kaitlyn of Dracut, and Jacklyn Decowski and partner Daniel Porter of Lowell; and her stepchildren Bryan and Bella Janeliunas of Townsend.
Michele also leaves behind her sister Maureen Lucey and husband Darryl of Chelmsford, her brother Michael Murray and fiancée Amanda of Nashua, and her three beloved grandchildren: Jake, Charleston, and Gianna Decowski. She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews Tim, Nora, Taegan, and Logan, and her special Aunt Carol Murray of Dracut.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Michele, with details to be shared with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michele’s name to The Jimmy Fund, supporting cancer research and patient care.
Michele's warmth, laughter, and love for her family will live on in all who knew her.
