Michelle Theresa Douglas, 56, daughter of the late Peter Michael Douglas, Jr. and Barbara Christina Douglas, passed away at her home in Lancaster, California on Friday, February 9, 2024.
Michelle attended St.Philip and St. James Elementary School and graduated from Phillipsburg High School, later she enrolled in nursing courses at Northampton Community College. Michelle completed her nursing degree at Trinity University in Washington DC and received her MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2017. As a cardiac cath nurse at Washington Hospital Center, Michelle offered he special brand of compassion and comfort to all her patients. She later relocated to sunny California in 2015. Michelle worked at City of Hope and participated in various humanitarian endeavors. She also loved the beach and enjoyed drives up the California coast.
Michelle is survived by her three children: Cheryce and Eric Knox and Janai Douglas all of Los Angeles, CA, two beloved granddaughters, Aria and Marley, companion, Ward Jones, sister, Leslie Douglas, of Washington, DC and brother, Michael Douglas of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and extended family members. Her brother Peter M Douglas III predeceased her in 2019.
Cremation services were entrusted to Palmdale Crematory and an east coast memorial will be held on June 15, 2024 at Brown & Lynch Post 9, 2260 Corriere Rd, Easton PA 18042 at 1:00 pm.
