Moore; her three children, Stele Moore, Sean (Lindsey) Moore, and Colleen Moore; and her adored grandchild, Evelyn Rose. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Catherine McNamara; her niece, Savannah (David) Sheridan; and great-nephew, David Mack. Millie was a 1968 graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School, earned her undergraduate degree from Nicholls State University in 1972, and received her Master's in Public Health from Tulane University in 1981. Professionally, Millie was employed from 1974 to 2016 at the Rudolph Matas Library of the Health Sciences at Tulane University. She held various positions, including Head of Technical Services for many years and Interim Director of the Library. Millie was an active and dedicated member of the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association, where she served in numerous leadership roles over the years. She was President from 2001 to 2002, held positions as Treasurer and Secretary, and was a longtime member of the Chapter Advisory Council. She contributed to many committees, including the Finance, Nominating, and Program Committees, and served as Parliamentarian until her retirement in 2016. In recognition of her exceptional service, she received the chapter's Distinguished Service Award in 2005. Millie was also involved at the national level with the Medical Library Association, serving as a member of MLA's Chapter Council from 2008 to 2011. She also chaired the Ethics Policy Task Force during 2008–2009, reflecting her commitment to upholding professional standards and integrity in the field. She was a tireless volunteer for both her church and her alma mater. A devoted parishioner of St. Christopher the Martyr Parish, she served as Head of Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors for over 30 years and also served many years on the Parish Council. She received the Order of St. Louis Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans in 2003. As a proud alumna of Archbishop Chapelle High School, Millie served on the Alumnae Board, chaired the decoration committee for the Emerald Gala for several years, and participated in the annual Prom Fest and Craft Fair. She was honored as Alumna of the Year in 2011. Additionally, Millie and Carl received the Deus Providebit Award in 2016.
