Miranda (Mandy) Pate Boone, 36, of Rutherford, TN, passed away on January 10, 2024, after battling a respiratory illness. Mandy was born on November 1, 1987, to Bruce and Lisa Pate in Jackson, TN. After Mandy graduated from Gibson County High School in 2006, she went on to receive her Masters in Speech Therapy at Murray University. After working as a therapist for nursing homes and the school district, she later became the fourth generation to manage Pate's Department Store in Rutherford, TN.
Just last year, Mandy married Brandon Boone of Gleason, TN. Mandy and Brandon spent the short time they had together pursuing their shared passion of travel, selling vegetables to the community at Boone Farm, and planning for a bright future. Mandy was selfless, loyal, and loved throughout the community. She took pride in being a Christian and demonstrating Godly love to all. She was an active member of the Rutherford Church of Christ and spent her last month's attending Liberty Church of Christ in Gleason, TN with her husband.
Mandy is survived by her husband, Brandon Boone; in-laws, Steve and Debbie Boone; her parents, Bruce and Lisa Pate; sisters, Jenilee Ferguson and Katie Pate; brother-in-law, Roberto Ferguson; nephew, Ryan Ferguson; niece, Ellaria Ferguson; cousins, Adam and Amy Pate, and their four children.
Visitation will be held at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford, TN, Friday, January 12, 2024, from 5 to 8pm. The funeral will be held at Rutherford Church of Christ, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1pm, with visitation starting at 11am prior, and graveside to follow. Flowers will be appreciated or donations to Children's Homes Inc. Paragould, AR (https://www.childrenshomes.org/).
