Miriam A. Bryant, 87, was born in Chicago's Beverly Hills neighborhood and moved to Edison Park in 1967. Loving wife of 51 years to the late Peter. Adoring mom of Sara (Terry) Murphy, Andy (Julie), Jeanne (Ed) Thomas and Tim (Jennifer). Proud grandmother of Claire, Tom, Jack, Will, Anna, Bo, Abby, Mia, Miranda and the late Grace. Devoted daughter of the late Evelyn nee McDonnell and Richard Korten. Dear sister of the late Carol, Kathleen and Lyn. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews, and friend to all. Dedicated educator and child advocate who taught at Maria High School, Gage Park High School and Immaculate Conception Grammar School. Graduate of Academy of Our Lady, Loretto Heights College and Loyola University. An immensely talented and prolific artist, Miriam's enduring capacity to see the beauty and goodness in the people and world around her defined a life of love of family, friends and nature's wonders.
Visitation Friday, December 13, 2024, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, Heneghan-Suerth Directors, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Funeral Saturday, 9:30 am prayers at the funeral home to St. Juliana Church (Oketo and Touhy Aves). Mass 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle, IL 60532. mortonarb.org Interment All Saints Cemetery.
