Miriam Demilio

Miriam Demilio (Gigliotti), 90, of Danbury, beloved mother and wife, died on Friday, August 8th, at the Civita Care Center in Danbury, CT. She was born on June 16th, 1935, in Danbury, CT. Miriam was the daughter of the late Samuel and Josephine Gigliotti and the wife of the late David Demilio.

Miriam was a woman of great faith. She attended church weekly and loved Jesus with all her heart. In her younger years, she loved to knit, play the piano, and care for her family in any way she could. In her later years, Miriam frequently talked on the phone and sent letters and cards to her friends and family, which included words of support, wisdom, and faith. Throughout her life, Miriam was a woman who exemplified dignity, strength, passion, and faith.

Miriam is survived by her children David Demilio and Derek Demilio and his wife Irene; her grandchildren David Demilio Jr., Ethan Demilio, and Owen Demilio; her brother-in-law Rocco Bruno; her nieces and nephews, Greg, Tara, and Jason Bruno.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th, at Cornell Memorial Home at 11 AM. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the funeral service. She will be buried in Wooster Cemetery immediately following her services.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to the charity of one's choice.
