MIRVINE KYKER TIPTON, age 83, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on February 19, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School, and attended Emory and Henry University and also Carson Newman College. Along with being an accomplished artist, she was also a local real estate broker with Century 21 for 25 years. Friends and family knew well that her favorite saying was “Life is Good.” Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Granvil Kyker and Mary Agnes Garrett Kyker; and brother, Charles Kyker. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carl Tipton; children, Scott (Amy) Tipton, and Garrett (Rhonda) Tipton; grandchildren, Whitney Tipton (Drew) Stewart and Andrew (Alexandria) Tipton; great-grandchildren, Avalyn, Anderson and Alexander; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, her “Wine” group. Friends may call at their convenience on March 15, 2025 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the family home, 155 Bicentennial Drive, Jefferson City, TN 37760. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Cancer Society, c/o Robbie Pinkerton, 1480 Royal Drive, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
