Molly Anne Zabinski, age 33, passed away Sunday April 7th, 2024 following a tragic car accident. She was born May 16th, 1990 to Doug and Melissa (Hendrickson) Zabinski, and was the 3rd oldest in a family of 6 children. She is survived by her sweet, kind, and incredibly strong 3-year-old daughter Zoey, her parents Doug and Melissa, her sibling Marcus (Sabrina), Maxwell, Mitchel (Kaela), and Megan, her nieces Paisley and Luna, her nephew Kaysen, and her maternal grandmother Susan Kallas, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother just over two years ago, Matthew, whom she was incredibly close with, paternal grandparents William and Dorothy Zabinski, maternal grandfather William Farrell, and maternal great grandparents William and Charmon Vannote.
"Princess Molly", as she referred to herself as a little girl, was a spunky wild child who loved to sing and act in musical theater. She was smack dab in the middle of a big, boisterous family and always made sure her voice was heard, especially for as small of a little girl she was. From a young age, Molly turned to writing as an outlet for her struggles and continued this throughout her entire life. Although sometimes blind to her own true value and place in this world, she was always trying to help those around her and was many peoples' biggest fan, loudest cheerleader, and unshakable support.
In her teen years she gave herself many changing hairstyles and tried out numerous personal styles, until she eventually landed on her staple: bright, loud, and colorful, usually sporting tye-die or anything with mushrooms. She had a staple of handmade gifts and was known as the "craft queen": she could turn any pile of glitter, ribbons, and flowers into a creative masterpiece. Molly could light up a room and made sure everyone she met felt seen and understood. Her heart was exceedingly large and she never ceased to find a place for everyone inside of it. Molly always saw the good in every person, situation, and circumstance- she was the easiest friend to make and the hardest to lose. She was a beautiful singer, elegant writer, and ride-or-die friend.
Molly spent many years nannying and playing mommy to many younger family members and family friends. Her biggest wish in life was to be a mother herself and her dream finally came true just three short years ago. Molly's daughter Zoey was her entire world; she was constantly finding new crafts to do with her, fostering her love for nature, and supporting her enormous desire to learn about EVERYTHING! Her daughter takes after her with all of her spunk, sass, and inquisitive mind and Molly's spirit will surely live on through her.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a fund for the future of Molly's daughter may be directed to a fundraiser her relatives organized.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19th from 1-6 PM with memories being shared at 5:30 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine, IL 60067. To honor Molly we are asking guests to wear tye-die, bright colors, sunflowers, or any outfit they feel their best in. Interment private. For information call 847-359-8020.

omg..this is like so unbelievable. ive said prayers for Molly's soul. I've cried. im 35 years old and can say with confidence ive never met anyone like molly. she was so special. when i was a kid molly rode her bike up to me and asked if I wanted her bunny. molly named her sunshine. when i was a kid I hung out at the house. you guys were always so kind to me. I got to know molly better when I worked with her at here's the scoop. my adolescence was the worst time of my life. I had a severe mental illness then. I had a million more problems then until I found unimaginable happiness in my early 20s. ironically that was one of the times I laughed the hardest. it was all because of molly. whenever we worked together she always knew how to make me laugh to the point of tears. she was such a free spirit. I needed it so much then. she had a million friends. she was so hilarious. please remember that she touched so many hearts and will live on in all of us. I still laugh at all the funny things she did and said. god bless all of you guys. you guys always were such a special family when I lived in palatine
