The funeral service for Mr. Myron Thomas "Paw Paw" Ford, 83, of Lenlock, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in the Chapel of K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Jacksonville. Brother David Daniels and Brother Sam Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ford passed away on Saturday in Anniston.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ford; daughter, Monica Michelle Ford; grandchildren, Magan Brittany Ford and Ethan Michael Ford; sister, Edna Wheeler; and brothers, John Ford, Kenneth Ford, and Mike Ford.
Survivors include his sons, Scott Ford, Greg Ford (Kim), Jeff Ford, and Colby Ford (April); grandchildren, Amanda Brooke Ford (Gerald), Jessica Ford, Hadyn Head (Josh), and Jacob Ford; great-grandchildren, Hannah Jo Head and Landon Brown; sisters-in-law, Rachel Ford, JoAnn Ford, and Dot Ford; special niece, Judy Johnson; and several other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Ford was born and raised in Jacksonville, a place he was always proud to call home. He graduated from Jacksonville High School and went on to serve in the National Guard. A dedicated and hardworking man, he remained employed until the age of 80, often holding multiple jobs at once to provide for his family. Throughout his life, he worked in many places, including the railroad, Southern Tool, M&H Valve, the Jacksonville Cotton Mill, Lee Brass, Honda, and most recently, Walmart.
He was an avid sports fan who especially loved Alabama football and Braves baseball. He also shared his love of the game with young athletes, coaching Little League football and leading his team to four undefeated seasons. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren.
