Nadine Wolfe Harris

Funeral Services for Mrs. Nadine Wolfe Harris, age 83 of Lineville, will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David Holcombe and Pastor Christy Noren-Hentz officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Methodist Protestant Bible Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Clay County Hospital. She was born and raised in Clay County, and as a child raised chickens and along with her parents and siblings, worked for the Riley family tending to their farm. Once she was older, she worked for Southland Manufacturing and Higgins as a seamstress, but became a full time stay at home mother once her son Patrick was born. Mrs. Harris also took care of her husband when his health began to fail. Mrs. Harris had a passion for Flowers and tending to her garden. She spent time with her grandchildren in the greenhouse, and was also an avid Animal lover, taking care of injured animals of all kinds. She was described as strong willed, persistent, and was a fighter until the very end. As a mother, she taught her children right from wrong, and that education was important, encouraging her children to go to college because she wasn't able to. Mrs. Harris a loving and compassionate Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and sister.
Mrs. Harris is survived by three children: Denise Kingery (Michael) of Ashland, Tony Harris (Amy) of Ashland, and Patrick Harris of Lineville; four grandchildren: Tyler Minter, Kristin Minter, Rebekah Bailey (Parker), and Hunter Harris; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Eloise Lamberth and Wenese Strickland, both of Ashland; two nephews: Joel Lamberth, Gregg Lamberth (Roxanne); one niece, Stacy White (Billy), all of Ashland; plus other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Eurtice Williams Wolfe; and her husband, Lynwood G. Harris.
Active Pallbearers will be Joel Lamberth, Gregg Lamberth, Billy White, Logan Lamberth, and Michael Kingery.
Her visitation will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
