Nancy Jean Booker, age 87, of Corning, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Bampas House in Corning.
She was born on February 21, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph and Josephine (Fuchs) Prochaska. On August 30, 1958, she married the love of her life, Gilbert Booker, at Trinity Community Church in Berwyn, Illinois.

She was known for her delicious baked goods, which she lovingly made for her family, and for the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her delicious baked goods, which she lovingly made for her family, and for the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports and cheering them on.
Nancy will be remembered for her resilience, quick wit, and the fierce love she had for her family. A true spitfire, she gave her all in everything she did and had a laugh that lit up the room. She had a heart for everyone she met, and it would be hard to find anyone who had an unkind word to say about her.
She is survived by her son, Dan (Becca) Booker of Corning; five grandchildren: Stefany Booker of Corning, Kelsey Booker of Corning, Logan Booker of Corning, Troy Booker of Texas, and Lauren Booker of Texas; her sister, Karen Barger of Wisconsin; and her nephew, Gary (Connie) Barger of Wisconsin.
In accordance with Nancys wishes, there will be no services. Phillips Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Nancy Jean Booker (Prochaska), please visit our Tree Store.
