Neil Bruce Everson passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 91.
He was born on November 18, 1933, to Lawrence and Helene Everson in Eau Claire WI. He graduated from Eau Claire High School. After graduation he went to Milwaukee and got his apprenticeship in Tool and Die. He lived at
the YMCA where he met Marlita. On June 11th 1955 they eloped to Iowa City.
In 1970 they moved to the U.P. and started Everson Tool & Machine, which is now known as Precision Tool.
Neil was an avid WI sports fan. His passions were biking, skiing, golfing, and his garden. He was active in the Ironwood Hurley Rotary and a past Bank board member.
Neil and Marlita enjoyed 66 years of marriage until her passing in 2021. He is survived by sons, Keith (Monica) Everson and Kevin (Laura) Everson; daughter, Karen (Chip) Mullineux; grandchildren, Justin (Sara) Reid, Jessica (Ed) Chicoski, Megan (Greg) Tzanoukakis, Chris Everson, Jared (Sonny) Reid, Elizabeth (Derek) Detampel, Ethan (Miracle) Everson, Andrew (Allison) Keller, and Adam Everson; and great-grandchildren, Gavin Reid, Paige Reid, Marlita Chicoski, Evelyn Chicoski, Colin Tzanoukakis, Emilia Tzanoukakis, Owen Detampel, Hagen Reid, Stricker Reid, and Layne Detampel.
A Celebration of life will be at his home on Friday July 18th, 2025.
We would like to thank the staff at Aspirus Hospital for their constant comfort and care.
