Nephi Martin Voge, passed away September 9, 2025. He was born on June 16, 1945 to Emil Otto Voge and Katharina Ragna Wilma Mueller in Lauenburg, Germany. He was a graduate of Idaho Falls High School. He attended Ricks College, Utah State University and BYU. He earned his bachelor's degree in accountancy through BYU and earned a graduate degree from the Pacific Coast Banking School.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings in leadership. He was a temple ordinance worker for 50 years. He served two and a half years in the South Germany/Swiss Mission. He married Sandra Lucille Nolan on March 30, 1979 in the Ogden Utah Temple. They were blessed with forty-six years together.
Nephi worked in the banking industry for over forty-five years as a commercial loan officer, holding various positions at Commercial Security Bank, Key Bank, and retired in 2012 as an Executive Vice President of Commercial Lending at First National Bank in Layton. He was active in the community and local/state politics throughout his life through supporting small businesses, serving as a delegate for the Utah Republican state convention, and holding membership in various civic organizations.
After retirement, Nephi stayed busy with real estate investments and freelance loan consulting work with various financial institutions.
In Nephi's free time, he enjoyed traveling, outdoor activities, serving in his church, and spending time with his family.
Nephi is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Cameron (Shannon), Ryan (Nicole), Nathan (Julie), Jonathan (Chelsey), Katherine (Justin) Hansen, Aaron (Tabitha); and brother, Wilfried Voge, and twenty-one grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Ammon Edward.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairfield Ward Chapel, 1085 North 50 East, Kaysville, Utah. Viewing will be held from 10 -10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Layton Memorial Park, 1867 North Fairfield Road
