Nettie Stewart Obituary

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 at noon in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Nettie P. Stewart, 90, who passed away March 27, 2024. Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate the services. Serving as lectors are her three granddaughters: Tiffany Letchworth, Victoria Zaunbrecher, and Maci Broussard. Jodi Bollich, musician and vocalist, will perform, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "Be Still My Soul", "On Eagle's Wings", and "Old Rugged Cross". Interment will follow the service in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Andrus (Ronnie) of Broussard; two sons, Kirk Hebert of Lafayette and Mike (Brinda) Hebert of Arnaudville; one sister, Lenius Rushing of Port Arthur, TX; eight grandchildren, Victoria Zaunbrecher, Maci Broussard, Tiffany Letchworth, Jake Hebert, Ross Hebert, Jonathan Hebert, Mason Hebert, and Brandon Hebert; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Stewart; parents, Lorena Leblanc and Leroy Prudhomme; her step-father, Theo Gene Leblanc; one son, J. Merrick Hebert; one daughter-in-law, Christine Hebert; siblings, Lola Pearl Latiolais and Merrick Prudhomme; and half siblings, Janelle Jagneaux and Remi Prudhomme.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Hebert, Jake Hebert, Jonathan Hebert, Ronnie Andrus, Brett Letchworth, and Ross Hebert. Honorary pallbearer is Mike Hebert.

The family requests that visitation be held Monday morning at 9:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be led by Sr. Doris Roy, S.E.C. at 11:00 am.
