Norman L. Van Arsdale, 88, of Harleysville, formerly of Hatfield, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Jacqueline M. Van Arsdale, who he missed dearly after her passing in 2022. They had shared 70 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ellsworth and Margaret Van Arsdale.
Norman was an avid reader and a lover of history. He studied the Bible and had a deep faith. Norman enjoyed being in nature and camping. He was humorous and a teaser, bringing laughter and a smile to many.
Norman was the loving and proud father of seven children, Mark (Stacy), Kenny (deceased), David (Diane), Gregory (Teresa), Ed (Karen), Jeff (Kristen) and Cindy (Sean McGrath). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Laura, Lisa, Eric, Jacklyn, Devan, Van Dylan (Taylor), Zachary, Paige, Luke and Lucinda, and great-grandson Ronan, and his sister Phyllis.
In addition to his wife and son, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ellsworth, Jack, Vivian, and Audrey.
The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 AM on Monday, June 3, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, 18969, where a funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
