Norman J. Woodhouse, age 94, of Corning, NY, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Bethany Manor in Horseheads. He was born on January 7, 1931, in Bath, NY, to Johnathan and Cecilia Woodhouse. Norman was a graduate of Painted Post High School. On February 14, 1975, he married Vivian Woodhouse (Askey), who predeceased him in 2019.
Norman was employed as a toolmaker at Corning Glass Works, retiring after over 35 years of service. He recently received his 75-year service pin. He was a long-time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, serving in local, state, and national roles during his more than 65 years of membership.
An avid bowler, softball player, and golfer, Norman enjoyed staying active and involved in his community. In recent years, he was a familiar face at Bob Evans, where he dined nearly every evening and the staff there became more like family to him.
He is survived by his children: Cynthia (Thomas) Donahue, David Woodhouse, and John Woodhouse; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four siblings; and stepchildren: Charlyn Norris, Karen Abby, and Charles Gilliland.
In keeping with Normans wishes, there will be no services.
Arrangements are being handled by Phillips Funeral Home.
