Ona Agnes Hardin, 93, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2024, at home with her family.  Agnes was born on November 13, 1930, to Quincy and Lela Ewing in Scurry, TX.  She grew up in Scurry graduating from Scurry-Rosser High School as salutatorian.  Agnes was the youngest of 9 siblings and she was the only one remaining.  Agnes married Kenneth Hardin on December 23, 1950, and they spent a loving 48 years together before he passed away in 1999.  She and her family settled in Kaufman in 1957, where she still lived.  Agnes worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 30 years before her retirement.  When they moved to Kaufman, they started attending Cottage Heights Baptist Church/Grace Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for 60 years. Agnes enjoyed her Tuesday afternoon card games with her Ladies playing Canasta; she was in the Kaufman Red Hats Group; spent time reading and traveling.  Her most precious moments were spent with her family and especially her grandchildren.  She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sibling.  Her parents, Quincy and Lela, husband Kenneth, son Don Hardin, and siblings: Faye, Pauline, Harold, Kell, Net, Nina, Gwen and Don preceded her in death.  Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Deborah Miller; daughter-in-law, Linda Hardin; grandchildren: Zachary Latham, Andrew Miller and significant other Jasmina Obanda, Laurie Hardin and Keith Hardin and wife Joelle; great grandchildren: Brandon Miller, Nicholas Miller and Ben Hardin; sister-in-law Verna Ann Brazil; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
