It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Oscar "Sandy" Fallin, who left this world peacefully at his home in Clearwater, Florida, on June 26, 2025, at the age of 92. Sandy was born on January 17, 1933, in Pine Hall, North Carolina, to Oscar Sanford, Sr. and Hazel Claire (Isom) Fallin. His journey through life was marked by love, service, and dedication to his family and community.
Sandy's early education took him to Mars Hill Bible School and later to Florida State University, where he laid the foundation for a life rich in knowledge and experience. After completing his education, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to his country and his fellow citizens.
In his professional life, Sandy found fulfillment working for the Suburban Teamsters of Northern Illinois while residing in Joliet, Illinois. This career choice exemplified his strong work ethic and dedication to supporting his family and community.
On June 16, 2002, Sandy married the love of his life, Mimi P. Bulik, in Clearwater, Florida. Together, they shared 23 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their partnership was a testament to the power of love and companionship, with Mimi by his side through every chapter of life.
Sandy was a devoted father and stepfather, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue through his children: Susan (Michael) Farver, David (Becky) Fallin, and Kim (David) Doyle, as well as his step-daughters, Christine (Paul) Kelly, Lisa (Pete) Iberson, and Donna (Matthew) Lippman. Additionally, he is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward his spirit and values.
In his community, Sandy was known for his joyful spirit and passion for music, as he was an active member of the Palm Harbor Community Chorus. His love for singing brought joy not only to himself but also to those around him, creating a sense of unity and happiness through the power of music.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at Veterans Funeral Care on July 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many. There will be a reception to follow the Memorial Service.
Sandy's warmth, kindness, and dedication to his family and community will be deeply missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As we say goodbye, let us remember Sandy not only for the dates and milestones of his life but for the love he shared and the joy he brought to the world.
Rest in peace, Sandy. You will forever be in our hearts.
