Parley Reese Jeffs, 87, of South Ogden, passed away on 6 August 2025 after a short illness.
Parley was born on 21 June 1938 to Vaughn Samuel Jeffs and Blanche Reese in Logan Utah. He moved to Ogden in 1942 at the age of 4. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1956 and attended Weber State College. Parley had a distinguished 30-year career with the federal government and retired in 1990.
In 1967 he married Sara Haslam. Together they raised three children. Kathy (James) Webster, San Diego CA. Blaine (Jill) Eck, South Ogden, UT. Denis (Betty) Jeffs, Ogden UT. He was an excellent father and role model who always ensured we were supported and loved.
In his younger days Parley was recognized as a top fast-pitch softball pitcher in Utah. He led multiple teams to regional and national finals. He also loved to go boating and water ski. We spent many family weekends at Bear Lake and Pineview.
Upon retirement he became an avid golfer. He was a member of the Ben Lomond Men's Association for many years. He adopted the snowbird lifestyle and spent the cold months at his home in Lake Havasu, AZ.
Parley was predeceased by his beloved wife and parents. He is survived by his brothers Paul Jeffs (San Diego, CA), and Howard Jeffs (Aurora CO). He is also survived by 7 Grand Children, 20 Great Grand Children, and 13 Great-Great Grand Children.
A gathering of Family and Friends will be held Thursday 14 August 2025 at Leavitt's Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden at 1:00PM. A graveside service will follow at 2:00PM.
