Patricia Ann Crisp, age 78, of Lenoir City, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born on June 24, 1946, in Prestonsburg, KY, daughter of the late Olvie Crisp and Beckie Jones Crisp Janz. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, an infant brother, Oliver (Jr), William (Billy), and Larry (Doug).
Pat had an amazing and full life. She was raised and created a beautiful life in Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, and Tennessee. "To know her was to know love." Being a single mom most of her life, she was always very hard working and feisty. She ensured things were done her way. Her love for travel led her to work at travel agencies and opening her own travel agency, "On The Go Travel." She loved working and creating lifelong friendships with Travel and Transport and ETHRA in Knoxville. Lunch gatherings were her favorite time, which continued even after her retirement in 2022. Pat loved many things in life, The Lord, her Family, Christmas, warm weather, circus peanuts, the word "Fantastic", the card game "Stupid," bingo with Belinda and Leida, her Sunday chats with Martha, the opportunity to dress up for any occasion or holiday (especially Halloween), a good prank, casino trips, picnics, dipped ice cream cones, dancing, fireworks, warm pjs and house shoes, her fireplace, her sweet neighbors, the beach, and a good margarita. There was no problem she wouldn't attempt to solve. She was the fixer of the family, supporter during all successes, and provided the best comfort during failures. Pat made the best fudge you had ever had, and was the hardest worker. Pat truly enjoyed her Family. Leida, her was her best friend. They enjoyed many lunch and dinner outings and took long grocery shopping trips and sightseeing adventures. Together they lived life to the fullest enjoying the best times together and their giggles were endless in each other's company. Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Belinda (her pride and joy); sister, Leida Lawrence (her best friend), five #1 grandchildren (who made Pat the best Granny ever), Vanessa (Stephen), Veronika, Olivia (David), Josh (Lacey), and Lauren (Caleb), four great-grandchildren, Weston (her dancing partner), Cecil, Oaklee, and Maddix, three sisters-in-law, Martha, Rhonda, Cindy, and son-in-law Simon Lewis. Pat was blessed with a large family of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends and neighbors.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Thompson Cancer Center in Knoxville.
The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:30 PM Sunday, May 25th with a time of reflection at 2:30 PM in the McGill Click Chapel. An interment service will take place July 12, 2025 in Eastern Kentucky. Details to follow
