Patricia Ann (Watts) Gudmundsen of Midland, MI passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Colonial Villa Apartments of congestive heart failure and pneumonia. Patricia (Pat) was born September 1, 1943 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Eldon Fay Watts and Madge Leona Watts (Hansen). In 1963, she married Stewart L. Gudmundsen in the Logan, Utah temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1964, they moved to Midland and raised 5 children, Lisa Ann Alexander, Jenny Lee Griffes, Dennis Stewart Gudmundsen, Gary Eldon Gudmundsen and Kirsten Marie Peless.
She served in various capacities for the LDS Church including a service mission (2000-2001) in Las Vegas with her husband. Also with her husband, she volunteered for 9 years at Midland County Services. She attended Weber State College prior to getting married and later earned an associate's degree from Delta College. She retired from Carlson (now Davis & Davis) Orthodontics. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, crafting, reading, lunch dates with her friends, and most of all spending time with her family. She and her late husband also enjoyed traveling during retirement.
Those Patricia leaves behind to cherish are her children Jenny (David) Griffes of North Carolina, Gary (Sara) Gudmundsen of Michigan, Kirsten (Harry) Peless of Michigan, daughter-in-law Lori Gudmundsen of Arizona, and son-in-law Jon Alexander of Wisconsin. She also will be remembered by grandchildren/great-grandchildren, Benjamin Griffes (Andie, Aspen and Callum), Erika Hernandez (Robert, Rosie, Roberto, Lucy and Lily), Cory Griffes, Nicole Rusick (Blake and Pax), Kelcey Dorzak (Danny, Anya, Ada, Anora, Aisla), Brooke McDaniel (Benjamin, Renee, Elliott, Wynne), Genna Alexander, Jacob Alexander (Allison); Jacob Gudmundsen (Isabella and Montgomery), Javin Gudmundsen (Mikayla), Abigail Gudmundsen, Autumn Gudmundsen, Ethan Gudmundsen, Harry Peless IV (Kayla), Samantha Peless, Alexander Gudmundsen, sister Karen Rash (Watts) and brother, Richard Watts, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Lisa, her son, Dennis, her sisters, Leona Dunn, and Adele Watts and brother, Robert Watts.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 11 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1700 W. Sugnet Road, Midland, MI. A graveside service will follow at the Midland Cemetery. A viewing will be held 10-11 am at the church.
