Patricia Ann Lyons

Patricia Ann Lyons, 83, of Galway, passed peacefully after a short illness on November 16, 2025. Born on September 1, 1942, to her late parents, Orrin and Hazel (Woods) Cook, she was the youngest of eleven children.
Patricia attended Ballston Spa High School before moving to Schenectady, New York. She spent many dedicated years as a Nurse's Aide at Hallmark Nursing Center, where her compassion and gentle spirit touched countless lives.
She was the proud mother of her sons, Gordon, Richard, and Jeffrey. Her family was the heart of her world. In 1980, she married her husband, John Lyons.
Patricia had a remarkable talent for baking and cooking-feeding her family was one of her greatest joys. She loved the outdoors, especially time spent at the beach. She eagerly looked forward to her family's annual summer BBQ, lovingly hosted by her son Jeffrey for the past sixteen years. It grew into a cherished family reunion filled with laughter, memories, and togetherness. Patricia's smile, kindness, and unwavering positivity will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, John Lyons; cherished son, Richard Lyman; and all of her siblings.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Gordon (Kathy) VanWagener and Jeffrey Lyman; her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who lovingly called her "Auntie."
Family and friends are invited to calling hours at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, on Monday, November 24th from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a service at 7 p.m.
