Patricia "Pat" Warren, our beloved Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Auntie, and friend entered heaven on April 12th, 2024, after sustaining severe injuries from a fall. Pat was born in Antigo on October 11, 1946, to her biological parents and later adopted by Anton and Betty Bures, who preceded her in death.
Pat graduated from Antigo High School with the class of '65. After meeting the love of her life at The Dixie Lunch, Pat married Bill Warren on January 15, 1966 in Antigo at St John's Catholic Church. Bill was stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base, Grand Forks, North Dakota. They left the Air Force in 1968 and moved to Waukesha, WI, so Bill could attend Tech School for machining. They later moved back to Antigo in 1976.
Bill and Pat had three children, Tony (Diane), Jenny Hauke (Brett), and Carrie Kelly (Ryan). Bill and Pat are survived by seven grandchildren, Brittany (Justin Dahl), Jericho (Hannah Zenkovich), Erica, Casey (Alexandria), Ellie (Zander Aros), Will, and Margo. They are further survived by three great-grandchildren, Brantley, Olivia, and Colton. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She often made them Afghan blankets, stuffed animals, and other items by hand. These gifts will be treasured infinitely. Her most recent creations for the family and close friends were teddy bears made from Bill's clothes.
Mom was a faithful Christian and talented singer much like her biological mother. Pat enjoyed singing at weddings, with the worship team at Christ Central Church and anywhere else she could sing. Mom had a heart of gold and would go out of her way to help anyone. Her love for Jesus and other people was infectious and left an impression on anyone she met. Her faith remained strong even though suffering from the severe injury that took her from us.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Bill, and their parents, a daughter Jenny Hauke, grandson, Emmanuelle Hauke, brother, Bob Connor, Sister, Kaye Lucas, and sisters-in-law, Mickey McDougal, Kay Tuckwab, Jan Brandenmeuhl, brothers-in-law Chuck Warren, Jack McDougal, and Tom Brandenmeuhl, nephew Jon Warren, and niece Laurie Voltz.
Besides her children, Pat is further survived by a brother Joe Irish, sisters-in-law, Judy Connor and Lucy Irish, many cousins, nieces and nephews, special friends who she considered family, Pastors Danny and Carla Pyeatt, members of Christ Central Church, and many other friends she has met over the years.
Services will be held at Christ Central Church in Antigo on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A private burial service will be held at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery. In honor of Pat, those attending her service can wear pinks and pastels.
2 Timothy 2:7-8 – I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me on that day – and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
