Paul Louis Berglund, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025. He was born on March 7, 1945, in Ogden, Utah and was a happy addition to the home of Frank and June Berglund and brothers Lynn and Dennis. Paul lived his entire childhood in Ogden. He said his childhood was “the best.” It was filled with family camping trips, hunting, fishing, boating, working in his dad’s auto body shop, and swimming in the Ogden River. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1963 and went on to attend Weber College. He was then hired by Utah Power and Light Company, where he built a career spanning over 40 years. He retired in 1999 as a Line Working Foreman.
In 1965, Paul married Hannah (Ann) Provence. Together they had two children, Michelle (Shelly) and Michael Paul. They later divorced.
On February 7, 1969, Paul married his eternal companion, Lloydene Gibson. Together they were blessed with two children, Jeff and Kris. The family was sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple on September 19, 1977. This past February, Paul and Lloydene celebrated 56 years full of happiness and good times.
Paul was a man of many talents and interests. He found joy in working with the scouts, welding, leatherwork, creating stained glass projects, and woodworking. He loved the outdoors – traveling, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and especially his side by side. One of his proudest accomplishments was building a beautiful cabin in the Uinta Mountains, which he completed in just one year while still working full-time.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Lloydene Gibson Berglund, his children, Michael Paul (Jan) Berglund, Jeffrey Louis Berglund, and Kris (James) Pritchard, his grandchildren Kevin (Stephanie) Berglund, Tony (Brynna) Berglund, Baylee Berglund, Caitlyn (Alex) Flores, and Lisa (Devon) Clark and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Oscar Berglund, and June Linford Berglund Hunter, his brothers Lynn Frank Berglund and Dennis Lee Berglund, his daughter Michelle Lee Berglund, his granddaughter Nichole Ann Berglund, and daughter-in-law Ann Loock Berglund.
