Paul had his private pilot license and had a love for flying. He enjoyed traveling, casinos, camping and was an excellent wood worker. He also loved racing cars, including his '51 Ford. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, especially the Browns.
He most loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren, and was the proudest "Papa." Carani Jr.; beloved grandfather of Dylan and Jagger Marn, Anna (James Weinpert – fiancé) and Andrew Smith; brother of the late Richard Carani; brother-in-law of Russell Colangelo, Dianne (Rick-deceased) Yerick and Scott (Martha) Colangelo; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
