Paul Joseph Pfentner, aged 85, passed away on August 9, 2025 after years of debilitating back pain, a long battle with COPD, and CML. Paul was born in Swormville, NY to John and Agnes Pfentner. Paul married Kathy Daigler on May 5, 1962 in St. Mary's Church, Swormville. He was preceded in death by John Pfentner (Father), Agnes Pfentner (Mother), and his sisters Dolores Killion and Mary Daigler. And is survived by his brother John Pfentner.
Paul was a loving father of 5 (Paul, Brian, Michele, Darlene, and Michael). He was a proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren (Jason, Sarah, Zachary, Eric, Madison, and Lauren) and 3 great grandsons (Liam, Henry, and Hudson).
A Celebration of life gathering will be held by the family on August 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Michele's house in Leesville, SC. A Mass of Christian Burial be held at St. Mary's Chapel in Swormville, NY, on September 6th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St.Mary's cemetery. Paul owned his own landscaping business for over 50 years. He was a die-hard fan of the Buffalo Bills, of great big bonfires, and hunting. Paul's proudest achievement was becoming a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was infamous for his bear hugs. He loved his family fiercely who loved him back just as much.
