Paula Kay Hallman Rupard, age 69, of Cherryville, passed away June 28, 2025, at her home. Paula was born February 20, 1956, in Gaston County, to the late Paul Yates and Mary Nell Kay Hallman.
Paula enjoyed reading books and going to the beach. She loved watching the Tarheels and Braves, and anything true crime. She attended First Baptist Church in Cherryville for many years, where she worked in the kitchen and played the handbells. Paula’s main pastime was keeping an eye on Randy.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Kiser.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Randy Rupard; daughter, Kendra Rupard Webb; grandson, Grayson Webb; and her dog, Sammy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. David Day officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 6:45 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
