Paula Camille Vidrine was born on September 5, 1964 to James and Ethel Brown Johnson in Ville Platte, Louisiana. She was a CNA at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie for many years and later continued caring for others through private care nursing. When not taking care of others, Paula enjoyed road trips, shopping, and cuddling and playing with her fur baby, Apollo. She always had a love for big cars such as Lincolns and Buicks. Paula was a heartwarming and selfless lady whose biggest joy was that of spending time with and taking care of her family. Paula passed away on Saturday, April 22. 2023 in Mamou, Louisiana at the age of 58. She will be greatly missed by those she loved.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her son, James Darbonne and daughter, Jacente Jack. Paula was blessed to have 5 grandchildren: Taylor, Sydnie, Zoe', Jordan, and Braxton. Their fond memories of her will last a lifetime.
Paula now joins in heaven her parents, James and Ethel Brown Johnson and granddaughter, Izabella Darbonne.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 beginning at 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 8:00 AM until time of service.
