Pearlean Otis Williams

Pearlean O. Williams was born in Prentiss, Mississippi. After moving to New Orleans, she attended Sylvania Williams Elementary, John Hoffman Middle, and graduated from McDonogh 35 High School Class of 1951, before studying at Dillard University. Pearlean worked for First National Bank of Commerce (currently Chase) as Head Teller at multiple branches with dedication. A long-time member of Tulane Memorial Baptist Church, she served as an usher, trustee, deaconess, and chef for various church events. She was deeply devoted to her family, raising five children-Riccardo (Shelia), Ramon, Kaahedrian, Kahedwyn, and Azediphar-and delighted in her role as Grammy to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Pearlean passed away, joining her parents, siblings, and youngest grandchild. She transitioned peacefully, surrounded by family. Pearlean was recognized for her resilience, dignity and caring nature. Her legacy endures through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all who benefited from her generosity. Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, for 11:00 a.m. at Tulane Memorial Baptist Church, 3601 Paris Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122.
