Margaret "Peggy" Brunetti Diamond peacefully passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 82, after courageously battling cancer.
Peggy was born on March 4, 1943, in
Ogden, Utah, to Andrew and Helen Idonna Brunetti. She had a deep love for her family and friends, and her life was marked by compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
On June 24, 1960, she married Richard Glen Diamond, at the Brunetti residence. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Peggy faithfully served in numerous callings, including in Primary, Cub Scouts, and Relief Society, where she spent many years as a compassionate service coordinator. Even in the final weeks of her life, she continued to serve others, preparing meals and offering love and support to those around her.
Peggy found great joy in spending time with her family. She often said that showing horses was the most fun and unifying thing they did together as a family. Countless hours were spent traveling across the country to horse shows, building memories that will last forever. She was also an accomplished seamstress and took pride in sewing clothes for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her talent earned her many awards at the Weber County Fair. Peggy also had a green thumb and took pride in her beautiful garden and flowers. Her grandchildren especially loved picking peas with her in the garden.
She cherished time with her neighborhood quilting group, sharing stories, laughter, and friendship. Peggy also inherited her father's love of cooking and was known for her delicious meals and eagerness to try new recipes from her many cookbooks. Family dinners every Sunday were a treasured tradition. She delighted in watching her great-grandchildren play sports, dance, and participate in their various activities.
Peggy also volunteered at elementary schools, where she helped children learn to read. Something that brought her immense happiness and fulfillment. She and Richard loved traveling the world together, visiting places such as Hawaii, Germany, Australia, Jerusalem, and many other destinations.
Above all, Peggy's greatest joy and accomplishment was her family. She is survived by her children Richard Anthony Diamond, daughter in law Randi Diamond, John (Mindy) Diamond, and Rachel (Kerry) Farnsworth. Grandchildren, Taylor (Skyler) Combe, Morgan (Chase) Jensen, Bradley (Brianna) Diamond, Jeffrey (Heather) Diamond, Logan Diamond, Zachary (Makayla) Farnsworth, Jessica (Branson) Murdock, Aimee Diamond and Wyatt Farnsworth, and her 12 great-grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by her sister Ann (Mac) Stevenson. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Diamond, her sons Steven and Matthew Diamond, her parents Andrew and Idonna Brunetti, and in-laws, Bernie and Verbena Diamond.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Sunflower Assisted Living staff and Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, Peggy and her family would appreciate donations to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' Giving Machines, or a charity of your choosing.
