Peter was an extraordinary friend, scholar, mentor, and person. He may have been the smartest person I ever
knew and he was one of the most thoughtful. He was our bishop for four or five years and helped us grow
In faith in so many ways. We loved
Donna and are happy they are reunited. Ken Cannon

We enjoyed working with Peter to minister to and plan activities for several residents where we lived. He always had good ideas about where to go or where to have lunch, and was willing to make arrangements. He cared about each individual in our group.
We enjoyed conversations with Peter. He was so intelligent and quietly shared his knowledge of many subjects. Some of our family members met him and admired him.
We will miss him!

The world is a little less without Peter. He was generous in every way. He was a good, intelligent, wonderful friend.

I know him as "Elder Crawley" in the Church History Library where he served faithfully. What a delightful, witty, and highly intelligent man! I am hoping he continues to help us with our work on the other side of the veil.

As a graduating senior in mathematics, I had some strong qualifications, but taking care of business was not one of them. When Pete found out I had only applied to two graduate schools, he got on the phone and called around to see who wanted to still consider me. Princeton declined, but M.I.T. accepted me on the spot! By a single act of caring and boldness, Pete altered the course of the remainder of my life for the better. Thank you, my dear friend Pete Crawley!

The math department at one time had two very tall and solidly built graduate students. They walked into the math office together one day, accompanied by a faculty member. Awestruck, Pete took a look at the two and said to the faculty member, "Your bodyguard??"
